Haiz.. Martinee feeling the blues again.

Why? Orh cos back to hitting the books again mah..

Seriously after 3 months of disengaging my brain from notes and books I feel sorta nauseating when i see them again.

Ok ppl, wish me luck. Martinee's gonna bid for LAJ1201, Japanese 1 tomorrow. Think after close bidding I show hand liao. *smirk*

Eh wad else.. Ya nothing much these past few weeks. Basically i just stay at home and rot, reading the news, watching tv.

Otherwise I engage in some outdoor activities that do not lighten my wallet too much. Swimming, doing engin rag(they asked me to spy science rag for them!), my course orientation, cycling around Singapore(Ok not exactly around la, but still a fairly long distance), window shopping Yup and I can't do without movies and animes too! Something's missing.. er yes! Mahjong!(overall net profit!)

Hello anyone.. It's Martinee here again dusting this place..

Seriously am I going to be the only one putting up notices here??

Cobwebs and lizards everywhere here!!

Oh well.. I'll just get on with what i'm supposed to do here.

Firstly, if anyone is still interested in our overseas trip, is the period 07-10 Aug ok with u all or not?

Er.. cos u know.. that period is when those BIG BIG gates open and those..uh hum.. hungry beings start roaming our lands..

While some of us may be ok with this issue, some of your parents may react quite violently to this idea. Ya, correct. They don't think it's such a nice idea in case you accidentally bring one of them back home as your good friend. Martinee has no such problem, cos I'm quite anti-social, so they'll avoid me.

Rates will be around S$350. And this package includes:

>4N3D of stay(2 nights are spent on travelling)
>2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners
>2 way transport (approx 9 hrs)
>3 snorkelling boat trips (snorkeling equipment not included)
Ok, I'll try to get more info. Meanwhile, do ponder over whether u all can make it for the trip.

Secondly, and finally, I have some old photos that I forgot to upload last time. I shall do so now.

Eh.. these were taken on the second floor of Mac, near boat quay. As usual, you see the photos are quite lesbo again...

Er.. these were taken after we went drinking at Bar-Racuda. Nice place, nice music from a band. I think the time should have been 2a.m. 2nd mum very very high at that time, keep on asking 1st mum and martinee to go drinking again. Quite exasperating, but luckily 2nd mum managed to call Vic-vic driver to pick us up (still can rmb it was at the bus stop outside supreme court and opposite Funan.) Waa i think he's even more efficient than cab drivers! Two thumbs up to you 2nd mum!!

Hihi guys... martinee has been pretty bored these days so I decided to learn to play a new song on the piano.

Well.. some of you who have watched the anime 'Full Metal Alchemist' will know this song.

Its name is 'Bratja', which means 'Brothers' in Russian.

The song is sung in Russian too, and I find it exceptionally touching(both the song and the lyrics).

So.. I hope you all will not find my playing too terrible... Do enjoy :)

Well ppl.. it's Martinee again bringing the latest updates on Gangst8rs...(why is it always me lately.....?)

Ahem.. Where do i start... Ah yes:

1) Gangst8rs Gathering - 31 May 2008

Now the choices shortlisted are suki sushi buffet and kbox.

Reasons for choosing these two are... We haven't had them in a LONG LONG time.

And because our dear Jolin said there're only TWO suki sushi branches left in the whole of S'pore.. So better eat them now before they're snapped up. (And also because of some personal issues to settle between me and jolin *smirk*)

Problems: Havin them both will cost LOTS & LOTS of $$$$$.

Therefore.. the suggestions are:

A. We'll just have suki sushi buffet only.. At orchard cineleisure.

B. We'll just have kbox only.. A chance to de-rust our vocal cords.

C: We'll still have BOTH.

So far.. the votes have been like this:

For Kbox - Hy and Jx

For Sushi Buffet - Me and Jolin

For BOTH: None

Calling the other members of Gangst8rs to place their votes NOW. By voting i deem that you are coming for the gathering. And since timing is not confirmed yet, it's best tt you all keep the 31st of May free for the whole day.. (U noe it's been quite sometime snce we had a full gathering and it ain't nice to just come for a couple of hrs and then scoot off..)

2) Getaway Trip - 1st or 2nd week of July 2008

We have discussed abt this before.. Genting.. KL..

Well now the more or less confirmed destination is REDANG ISLAND!

Well ok if u ppl dunno where it is.. here's a map:

Yeah.. It ain't exactly very near S'pore..

The ways to get there.. coach to one of the jetties(depending on package) then take ferry.

Judging from the distance.. the whole trip may take up to 8 hrs.

Right now I'm doing more research and comparisons between the packages and resorts.

So now I'll have to ask.. Who's on for the trip??

At the moment: Me and Jolin

No rush yet ppl... we'll discuss this further on the 31st. You may find out more about redang through travel agencies on the Net. I tried Seiki Travel(recommended by someone). There are a wide range of resorts on Redang too.. Therefore there're also a wide range of prices. Hopefully we can work out some budget.

Ok ppl.. Martinee has something to announce!!

I have been thinking about what some of your comments about the picnic idea

I mentioned last time.. So right now I'll give you all a choice!

Choice 1: Picnic at my HOUSE! Yes you didn't see wrongly, it's at martinee's house.

Dates available: 28 or 29 Feb only.. (next thurs or fri respectively)

Doors wide open for gangst8rs from 11 a.m onwards.. But muz go home by 7 p.m

Choice 2: At West Coast Park.. the same idea that i suggested in the previous post..

Dates available: 28 or 29 Feb or 1 or 2 Mar.. (Next thurs to sun)

Well where ever the picnic is, martinee hopes everyone can bring a bit of food along.. yeah.. POT LUCK! If you all wanna come to my house.. small lunch can be served along side..(small lunch cos not enough food in my house).. So pls do bring some food along for everyone to share around!

And of course after our meal we'll play our board games!!

Martinee just bought a monopoly game.. spongebob square pants version!

Pls indicate whether you are coming, and your choice if you are coming on the tagboard, dun wait!

Sorry gals about the postponing of our RISK gathering, it'll be arranged on the recess week period (23 Feb (sat) - 2 Mar (sun)).

However, don't fret! I'm organising a valentine's outing next sat(16 Feb) at

WEST COAST PARK! Things we plan to do there:

- Pot Luck (bring out the chef in you!)

-Risk (may include other interactive games)

-Fly Kite (only yl has it)

It'll be a afternoon activity.. frm ard 12 noon to 6 plus. Really hope everyone will be able to make it for the valentine's outing! Indicate on our blog if you can make it!

Yo ppl, here's.......... MARTINEE'S TIMETABLE!

Might be a LITTLE BIT confusing, so i'll explain..

The Nt Building Tutorial I have on wed is only on alternate weeks.. Even weeks on NUS academic calendar to be precise. First week of Feb is week 4, second week is week 5 and so on.. But usually i reserve wed for swimming.

Eh.. I think tt's about all. Do keep me updated on any more gatherings!
